Janowsky, Oscar
(b. 1900)
   American historian. He was born in Poland and was taken to the US in 1910. In 1948 he became professor of history at New York City College. His writings include: The Jews and Minority Rights (1898-1919), The American Jew: A Composite Portrait, The American Jew: A Reappraisal, The Education of American Jewish Teachers and Foundations of Israel.
